New Home Sales Plunge to ‘63 Levels

Hello,
Here is a great article about new home sales dropping to their lowest level since the government began tracking the numbers in 1963.  It was written by SARA MURRAY with the Wall Street Journal:

Sales of new single-family homes plunged last month, underscoring the fragility in the housing market.

Sales dropped 11.2% in January from a month earlier to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 309,000, the Commerce Department said Wednesday. The decline brought sales to their lowest level since the government began tracking the numbers in 1963. Sales were 6.1% lower than in January 2009.

This gauge of new-home sales is particularly volatile because it is based on a very small sample size and carries a wide margin of error. Still, the sharp decline is an indication that the housing market remains feeble, despite improvements in the past year fueled by low mortgage rates, reduced home prices and a government tax credit for home buyers. So…..You Want To Buy a House………….Can You?

Hello,

I have been talking to a lot of people and I still come across buyers that are not ready to buy a house as they claim to be.   It is important to think that the type of purchase about to be executed does not compare to buying a car because at a dealership the person gets pre-approved on the spot.

To buy a house the most important tool you need is a letter of pre-approval from a bank or a mortgage broker.  If you go out to view homes Read the rest of this entry »

A Rumor is a Rumor is a Rumor……BuT Is It TruE???

Hello,

Here we are with Apple agaaaaaaain.  We are very close to actually seeing the Tablet and exactly at the moment it happens all the rumors that have been posted will either be confirmed or will be way off.  One thing is for sure; in the past Apple always managed to leave as happily surprised and in amazement when introduced to one of their new products or upgraded versions.

Here are some of the rumors that have been floating from blog to blog:

iLounge today reported:

1.  The tablet will possibly have two dock connectors to allow the device to be docked in either portrait or landscape orientations

2.  The back of the tablet is said to be metal but with a “long rear stripe” for wireless broadcasting.

3.  The new tablet will likely offer optional 3G service in addition to built-in Wi-Fi.

The AppleInsider reported

1.   The device looks remarkably similar to a concept rendering published early last year but with even more similarities to the iPhone 3GS.

2.  The tablet is said to sport all the same in/out connectivity as the current iPhone 3GS, including a 3.5-mm stereo headphone jack, built-in speaker grills, a microphone, GPS, 3G connectivity and a 30-pin dock connector.

Other Sites Reported:

1.  Prototypes of the tablet have offered components making it compatible with CDMA wireless networks such as Verizon’s, which would back up increasing claims, including some as recently as today.

2.  Apple and Verizon have partnered on the new device. Apple Insider is careful to note, however, that it has been unable to confirm CDMA compatibility for the final shipping product.

And the rumors go on and on and on and a rumor is a rumor is a rumor……BuT Is It TruE???   I can’t wait to find out!!!!!!!  Source: (MacRumors, iLounge, AppleInsider)

A Life Changing Technology From The Past!

Hello,

Today I came across this gadget from an old article that rapidly brought me back to my childhood in Argentina.  I remember being little and having right in the middle of the dining room table (during lunch and dinner) a bottle filled with water that had been turned into sparkling water.  We used to add to it “granadina” for flavor.  It was my favorite.  This technology has been around for ages.  Wow, I guess I am getting old, huh?  This is a great way to go green.  Investing in a product of this nature would reduce the need to recycle and it would also help you save money.   Here it is:

Make Your Own Soda at Home

Wed Nov 7, 2007 6:40PM EST

The Soda Club is an $89 device that lets you make your own soda at home. No more carting cases or bottles of soda from the grocery store, no more cans to recycle, and a significant saving on every beverage you imbibe.

Watch the video to see how the Soda Club turns tap water into carbonated water and consider the savings involved. Factoring in the cost of the CO2 cartridge that creates the carbonation and the syrups you buy to make flavored sodas, each flavored home-made Soda Club drink costs about 25 cents. Compare that to the 45 cent average on store-bought sodas, and in 445 drinks, the Soda Club pays for itself. Plus it’s a great choice for trying to be green: no manufacturing for the soda or using aluminum for cans or plastic for bottles, and no transportation costs to get the soda cans to the store.

I have this product in my house, and as a huge drinker of club soda, it is a dream. I never run out, my grocery bags are a lot lighter, and my grocery bills are a little lower.  (Source:  Yahoo Tech)
